Setup guide

Connect PayPal in 6 simple steps

  1. Get a PayPal Business account

Sign in to PayPal Business, or create one for free. This is the account your earnings will be paid into.

    Open PayPal Business
  2. Open the PayPal Developer Dashboard

Sign in with the same PayPal account and make sure you're on the 'Live' tab — not 'Sandbox'.

    Open Developer Dashboard
  3. Create an app and copy your keys

Create a new REST API app (any name, like 'My Senvow Event'). Open it and copy your live Client ID and Secret — you'll paste these into Senvow.

Your Client ID and Secret are sensitive — treat your Secret like a password. Only ever paste them into Senvow's payment setup, and never share them with anyone else.

  4. Connect PayPal to Senvow

On your Senvow payment setup, pick PayPal, paste your Client ID and Secret, and hit Connect PayPal. You'll see a 'Connected' confirmation.

  5. Start your ticketed event on Senvow

Create your event and choose 'online card' as the payment method — buyers now pay straight into your connected PayPal.

  6. You're live

Every online ticket sale is now paid straight into your PayPal. Switch any ticket between online and door payment whenever you like.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a PayPal Business account to sell tickets?

Yes. A free PayPal Business account lets Senvow send buyers' payments straight to you. A personal PayPal account can be upgraded to Business in a couple of minutes.

Does Senvow take a fee from each ticket sale?

Senvow takes no commission on your sales — online selling is included on every plan, including Free, with no per-sale fee. PayPal charges its own standard payment-processing fee on its side, and everything after that goes straight into your account. Selling for cash at the door is always free.

Where does the money go?

Directly into your own PayPal account the moment a buyer pays. Senvow never holds your funds — you stay in control of your money and your payouts.

Can I still take cash at the door?

Yes. You can offer cash, online card, or both — set per ticket. Door cash sales are free and need no setup.

What if I'd rather use Stripe or Square?

PayPal is available today and more providers are on the way. Once another provider ships, you'll connect it the same way — and we'll add a matching step-by-step guide.
