Setup guide

Connect PayPal in 6 simple steps

  1. Get a PayPal Business account

Sign in to PayPal Business, or create one for free. This is the account your earnings will be paid into.

    Open PayPal Business
  2. Open the PayPal Developer Dashboard

Sign in with the same PayPal account and make sure you're on the 'Live' tab — not 'Sandbox'.

    Open Developer Dashboard
  3. Create an app and copy your keys

Create a new REST API app (any name, like 'My Senvow Shop'). Open it and copy your live Client ID and Secret — you'll paste these into Senvow.

Your Client ID and Secret are sensitive — treat your Secret like a password. Only ever paste them into Senvow's payment setup, and never share them with anyone else.

  4. Connect PayPal to Senvow

On your Senvow payment setup, pick PayPal, paste your Client ID and Secret, and hit Connect PayPal. You'll see a 'Connected' confirmation.

  5. Open your venue shop on Senvow

Open your venue shop and set its payment to 'online card' — orders now pay straight into your connected PayPal.

  6. You're live

Every online shop order is now paid straight into your PayPal. Set any product to online, in-person, or both.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a PayPal Business account to sell shop items?

Yes — a free PayPal Business account lets Senvow route each order's payment straight to you. You can upgrade a personal account to Business in minutes.

Does Senvow take a cut of each order?

Senvow takes no commission on your orders — online selling is included on every plan, including Free, with no per-sale fee. PayPal charges its own standard payment-processing fee on its side, and everything after that goes straight into your account. Cash and on-site collection stay free.

Where does the money from shop orders go?

Straight into your own PayPal account when the buyer pays. Senvow never holds your funds.

Can I sell some items for cash and others online?

Yes. Each product can be set to online card, cash or in-person, or both — so you choose how guests pay for every item.

Which other payment providers can I use?

PayPal is live now, with more providers on the way. When a new one ships, you'll connect it the same way — with its own step-by-step guide.
